Mission supported by
Wymondham Baptist Church

We are a small church but we are very active in our local community and the wider world, working alongside others and running our own projects in order to express the love of God in practical ways.
Please look around our website or contact the office to find out when we will resuming our usual activities.

Support for our local community:

Windmill House: With 59 beds, Windmill House provides residential, dementia, and respite care built around a person-centred approach. Set in a safe and stimulating setting, residents take part in activities that support wellbeing and ties to the surrounding community.
We work with Windmill House, to provide a short time of worship  every other month for the residents, their families and members of staff.
Our simple worship service aims to bring church to those who can no longer go to a regular church service, to encourage and to bless each one.
Just as important is the time we spend with the residents after the service just talking and listening.

Foodbank: The foodbank is part of the Trussell Trust. The Rotary Club have responsibility for Wymondham foodbank as a collection and distribution centre. Teams of volunteers from churches in Wymondham are available every Friday morning 11:00 - 12:00 here at WBC.

Together for Wymondham Events: We love to share in the Wymondham’s community events and have been involved in Vintage Day, Town Picnic, Good Friday Walk of Witness and Christmas activities.

Support for the wider world:

Tools with a Mission (TWAM): This is a Christian charity that collects unwanted usable tools, refurbishes them, sorts them into trade tool kits and sends them to the developing world for livelihood creation. We arrange a tool collection every year from WBC. Our next collection of unwanted tools is on 17th October 2026.

The Falconer Trust: The Falconer Trust is a UK-based charity, formed in 1980 to support the work of the Falconer Children's Home and Orphanage, situated at Kabulamema, North-West Province of Zambia.
The Trust has a warehouse and office in Norfolk, providing storage and from where all the donated goods are dispatched. Neil Starling, a member of WBC, is the Manager of the Falconer Trust, dealing with the day-to-day running of the charity.

The Baptist Missionary Society: We support Megan and Alan, missionaries from the BMS who have been living and working in Nepal in the Health and Development sectors.
Contact: www.bmsworldmission.org

Samaritan’s Purse: We support the charity’s Operation Christmas Child by filling shoeboxes with gifts to provide God’s love in a tangible way to children in need around the world.

The Besom Network: We support The Besom in Norwich, a charity to help Christians and churches to give their time, money and items to those in need in Norwich.
There are three ways you can give your time at the Besom in Norwich. We pray that through each of these ways, those who volunteer will learn more about God's heart for those in need and that their faith will grow as they see Him at work.

What should I expect when I visit the church?

You will receive a very warm greeting from us. Our dedicated welcome team will be able to answer your questions and direct you to where you need to go. A member of the Leadership Team is also on hand to help with any queries.  There will be praise and worship, singing, prayer, Bible reading. There will be teaching from one of the leaders at the Church with a chance to respond at the end of the service.

Tea, coffee and biscuits (and sometimes cake) are served after the service when there is plenty of time to meet new people, chat and ask any questions.

How are the children and youth involved at church?

We have  fantastic programmes for the youth at WBC, for:

Creche (3 months - pre-school). Children under 3 months are welcome but must be accompanied by their parent/carer at all times.
L2:52 (reception - year 6)
T4:12 ( Year 7 - year 11)

Children stay with their parents at the start of the service as we worship and sing songs together for the first part of the morning. Someone will announce when the children need to go to their programme.
