Tell tale paw prints

Picture for Thought for the we

Just recently, I came downstairs into the kitchen and was greeted by a trail of paw prints, they were in the conservatory too and around the window ledges – yes you’ve guessed it the cat had been out in the garden, come through the cat flap and proceeded to leave a trail of muddy paw prints.  This was not pleasing as Cathy had just washed the kitchen and conservatory floor and it was now covered with muddy paw prints.

I wonder, do we leave paw prints behind us?  Do others know where we have been because we have left our mark?  Like the cat does our mark leave displeasure and annoyance or have we brought some love and kindness into someone’s life?

In Matthew we read ‘Watch out for false prophets.  They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves.  By their fruit you will recognise them.’ And in Colossians ‘Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity.  Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.’

Let’s make sure that we leave a good mark and people will see Jesus through us.
