Are you worried??

In these times of rising costs, rising prices, general instability in the world, there seems to be a good reason for people to worry. For young people facing exams, people in jobs that have zero contract hours or those with the constant threat of redundancy. Then, of course, there are the worries about our health issues and the state of the NHS and the delays to treatment. On top of that there is the constant disruption to life because of the various number of strikes. Of course, being British, there is always the worry about the weather; do I need my umbrella? Or does the car leak?
The problem with worry, it’s like a snowball – it starts off small, but as you roll it around and turn it over and over, it gets bigger and bigger and somewhat overwhelming.
Now look at the Bible in Proverbs 3: 5-6 which says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.” Think about what God can do instead of what you can’t do! – God may not take you out of the situation immediately, but His grace will bring you through it.
So, this week give your worries and problems to God, He’s there for you.
