Did I,or Didn't I??

Did I or didn't I

The other day, sitting in my “office”, which is actually just a small corner of the kitchen table, (any area for office space having been taken up by others!!), I found this prayer printed on a piece of paper.

Now, the real problem is this, I don’t remember if I have shared this with ‘Thought for the Week’ or even before that, when Ray and I wrote ‘Thought for the Day’. However, reading it I just felt that you, like me, would find it helpful.  It was written by Marc Wolverson, whoever he is, and this is the prayer that he wrote:

“Dear Lord, as I start another day in my life, I pause to lift up prayers of thanks and praise to You. Thank You for the gift of life and thank You for blessing me with another chance to show my love for You. Your mercy knows no bounds and Your unconditional love is something I could never fully understand or fathom. As I begin the day ahead, please fill me with the peace and courage necessary to face all that it may bring. Guide my heart and my mind so that everything I do is according to Your will. Help me to stay mindful of Your presence throughout this day so that every intention set, and action taken, is for the purpose of glorifying Your name. Amen!”

I thought, what a lovely prayer to start a new day and seeing each day as a new and exciting gift from God. I like the words, “Peace” and “Courage” and the challenge they bring.

The writer writes, “Be mindful of God’s presence”, and that presence is with us every day as we go out to bring glory to God.

I still wonder if I did, or didn’t, share this before!
